General assembly SPACE 2024
Last Tuesday, April 9, we held our General Assembly at Airbus Defence and Space Getafe.Last Tuesday, April 9, we held our General Assembly at Airbus Defence and Space Getafe. This year, the meeting was held in the new space facilities, and after the meeting we were able to enjoy a guided tour of the Airbus SPACE facilities, where different parts of the Ariane 6 structures are manufactured and assembled, as well as other load adapters for different rocket models.
Among the highlights of the day, it is worth highlighting the appointment of Guillermo Sagrario Rueda, HO Supply Management at AIRBUS DEFENCE & SPACE, as the new president of the association and Sergio Camps López, Director Supply Chain at ACITURRI, as secretary. Following the complete acquisition of Alestis Aerospace by Aciturri, the SPACE board of directors is renewed with one less executive member.
We were also able to welcome two new partners: SATLANTIS, a space technology company that provides very high-resolution satellite solutions for the observation of the Earth and the Universe, and FAYMASA, a precision engineering and machining company that offers optimal comprehensive solutions for any industrialization project.
We also took stock of the good training results and announced the incorporation of the mutualized projects into the activity of SPACE-Aero Spain, with which we seek to improve the industrial maturity of the Spanish supply chain in a more efficient and measurable way.
From SPACE-Aero Spain we thank all the partners who were able to accompany us and the entire AIRBUS team who made the development of the day possible. We take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank Teresa Escolano Montejo and Manuel Santaolalla-Diaz, who are leaving their representation on the board of directors after many years of dedication.

We started the collective project 4.0 to facilitate the digital transformation of our associates
We are pleased to inform you of the start of the work included in the Association's collective 4.0 project, aimed at facilitating the digital transformation of the companies that make up SPACE - Spain. We are pleased to inform you of the start of the work included in the Association's collective 4.0 project, aimed at facilitating the digital transformation of the companies that make up SPACE - Spain. The central objective pursued is to achieve a quantitative and qualitative leap in the digital strategy of all our associates.
The project, launched in collaboration with the external companies Sixphere Technologies and One Target Group, arises in response to the need to continue optimizing our supply chain as part of the constant search for competitive improvement that characterizes us.
The optimization process undertaken, born from the idea that only through local empowerment can a global benefit be achieved, involves facing a digitalization process that helps to determine specific objectives and needs and to put them in common with the needs of the sector, thus allowing future challenges to be faced with guarantees.
In its first stage, the project will consist of two different phases. A first self-assessment of the current digital status of each associate, using specialized platforms based on proven maturity models; and a second phase of evaluation and analysis through which, based on the information obtained from the previous phase and with the help of the team of external professionals, each partner will obtain an individualized, planned and prioritized digital roadmap based on their needs.
At SPACE - Spain we are committed to digital transformation as a decisive driver of competitive improvement in the supply chain, and it is precisely with this enthusiasm that we are facing this project.
